NHS 111 Service.
This service has been rolled out by the NHS nationally to improve people’s access to urgent care. This is available by dialing 111 on your landline or mobile.  This will connect you to a trained operator who will advise you on the next appropriate step, whether that is self care or onwards referral to a GP practice, out-of-hours or other services, such as A&E or a minor injury unit. This service is available 24 hours a day.

Need to see a doctor?
If you need to see a GP urgently, tell your practice and they will do their best to fit you in.

If you’re not registered with a practice, visit www.nhs.uk to find a practice near you where you can register.

Need to see a doctor when your practice is closed?
Telephone the NHS 111 Service (see top of page).

Minor injury that may need cleaning, stitching or dressing?
(your GP practice may have a practice nurse who can clean and dress wounds.)

A minor injuries unit is open 8am – 8pm every day at Victoria Hospital, London Road, Deal CT14 9UA, Tel: 01304 865420/865437.

Serious or life threatening illness or injury?
Phone 999 or go to the emergency department at QEQM Hospital, Margate
