Improve Access to Care
On behalf of The Deal & Sandwich Primary Care Network (PCN) (Manor Road) we are pleased to inform you that we will be working more closely with our neighbouring practices to improve access to care. Until now the ‘enhanced access’ work has been delivered by our partner Channel Health Alliance from Deal Hospital.
From the 1st of April 2024 The PCN will assume responsibility for these appointments and will deliver the additional GP and physiotherapy appointments from the member practices which include Balmoral Surgery, Saint Richards Surgery, Cedars Surgery, Manor road Surgery and Sandwich Medical Practice.
The primary advantage of this change is that these appointments will be delivered by your own PCN which should improve patient continuity and efficiency of care. The initiative will also encourage collaboration between member practices.
For the first time they will be ‘cross organisational’ this means member practices can utilise each others appointment systems for the benefit of patient care and convenience. In addition to GP provision these appointments will also include a first contact physiotherapy service. These appointments are bookable by contacting your usual GP practice.
This project forms part of a broader initiative to improved capacity and access to Primary Care in Deal and Sandwich.
